The War Between Fear and Faith

As I sit here working on a million things, something told me to write this blog about what I am feeling. There are days I am so ready to be the Makeup Mecca of Africa and there are days where I am so afraid of failing. Do I trust God? Yes, I know he is my light! We are in a new year, and I am very excited; however, there is an inner struggle within myself, a tug-of-war battle between Fear and Faith. Although Faith has brought me thus far, the fear of the unknown has me in tears at times. People look at me and see this strong, hard-working woman, and yes, I am all of those things, but I give myself permission to not be strong. One thing people often forget is I am human. I am almost 50 years old and the idea of failing in Africa really scares me. As I am trying to pick up my pieces here in the USA, I am embarking on a project to take my companies to the next level, and the war of my two F’s will travel with me. Stay tuned throughout the year to find out which will prevail.

What about your two F’s? Are you fearful, or are you faithful? Please share and let me know.

  1. You are definitely not alone in that struggle; however, one of my favorite verses which I have been meditating on regularly since January 1, 2016 is: "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24 I think if we took Jesus at His word more often, our fears would dissipate so much quicker. But it definitely takes spending time in His presence on a regular basis for that to happen. And when it does, the world better watch out! #YouGotThis
