Eye Lashes

Lashes have the responsibility of enhancing the look of your eyes and can be categorized into 3 easy types: Strips, Individuals & Extensions.

1

Strips/Party Lashes or False Lashes are applied as a strip and fastened along the rim of the eyelid with a medical-grade adhesive. Strips are not designed to be worn for more than 1 to 2 days at best, so consider them a quick fix to eye fashion.

2

Individual Lashes are lashes that are applied in-between your own natural lashes to give your whole eyelash more body and volume, although they can appear to have some extension. Individual Lashes can come in different types, such as clusters and "V" lashes. While the application process by a trained lash technician is more expensive and time-consuming, there is a longer life expectancy of 1 to 3 weeks, depending on care.

3

Lastly, there are Lash Extensions, which also require an extensive application process similar to individual lashes, but proper care and management can help lash extensions last as long as 4 to 6 weeks. Lash extensions are directly attached on to the natural eyelash itself and held in place by a medical-grade adhesive. The extension is usually placed a fair distance from your eyelash line so that the glue and extension DO NOT touch the eyelid. See brands such as NovaLash, Reese Robert & Xtreme Lashes.
